The Aussie Heat Ice Hockey Club was established in 2007 to compete at the World Police & Fire Games in Adelaide.
The team continued to grow and now has members that represent all the Australian Emergency Services, including Federal & State Police, State & Rural Firefighters, Correctional Officers and Ambulance Officers/ Paramedics.
The Aussie Heat IHC has played in tournaments all around the world with success in numerous competitions. Most notable wins include the gold medal at the ADF Tri-Tournament Invitational (2016), the Challenge Cup in Adelaide (2019), and the silver medal at the World Police & Fire Games Chengdu, China (2019).
In 2024 the club officially became registered as a non-profit, Incorporated Association.
In 2025 the Aussie Heat made it into the semi-finals (top 4 of C Division) of the Challenge Cup and then went on to win the Pro Rookie Division of the Aussie Classic!
To represent Australian Emergency Services at Ice Hockey competitions all around the world.

To promote and advance the physical fitness, mental health and wellbeing of our members through competitive ice hockey games, tournaments and social interaction.
